Elara Global Fertility

Family Code

Ethical principles and rules of collaboration.

Elara Global Fertility works with intended parents, surrogates, donors, clinics, attorneys, and partners under one shared standard. The Family Code establishes the ethical foundation for how we coordinate, communicate, and protect people throughout their journey toward building a family.

This is not marketing language. It is the framework we use to make decisions, manage delicate cases, and prevent unclear practices.

CENTRAL ETHICAL PRINCIPLES

The standard behind every decision

Our ethical principles guide the way we coordinate each process with clarity, privacy, dignity, and professional boundaries.

01

Dignity and respect for every person

We treat intended parents, gestational carriers, donors, and newborns as people first, never as transactions. We coordinate in a way that protects privacy, reduces pressure, and supports informed decisions.

02

Informed consent as a non-negotiable principle

We promote a process where consent is clear, documented, and reviewed when circumstances change. We do not rush signatures or normalize confusion.

03

No coercion or undue influence

We do not tolerate pressure, manipulation, or the use of financial leverage to force decisions. We avoid incentives and behaviors that create hidden dependency or imbalance. We escalate any concern when the autonomy of any party appears compromised.

04

Safety-centered coordination

We prioritize physical and emotional safety in the planning of the program and in any situation that requires special attention. We coordinate with authorized clinics and independent legal advisors so that medical and legal risks are addressed by the appropriate professionals.

05

Clear separation of roles

Elara Global Fertility is a concierge coordination and support service. Medical services are provided by authorized clinics and physicians. Legal services are provided by independent attorneys. Escrow services are managed by the corresponding provider when that option is chosen. We do not mix professional responsibilities.

06

Transparency in fees, roles, and decisions

We keep the service model and payment flows clear. We do not hide markups, referral commissions, or bundled costs that make it unclear who receives which payment. When a cost belongs to a third party, it is presented as such.

07

Financial integrity and governance

We promote financial structures that reduce risks and increase clarity. In VIP Signature, funds may be managed through an independent escrow provider, with releases tied to documented milestones. In Direct Pay, the client pays clinics and providers directly, while Elara Global Fertility charges only a coordination fee.

08

Equity and no exploitation

We reject practices that objectify or exploit gestational carriers or donors. We coordinate with the expectation of ethical evaluation, proper support, and respect for each person’s wellbeing and boundaries.

09

Independent legal representation

We support the participation of independent legal advisors and clear legal processes. We do not present ourselves as substitutes for legal counsel, and we do not ask any party to move forward without the opportunity for an independent legal review.

10

Privacy and discretion by design

We coordinate with confidentiality as a standard. We share only what is necessary, limit access to sensitive information, and document permissions. We use secure documentation processes and controlled access practices.

11

Honesty and realism in communication

We do not promise medical results, legal outcomes, or guaranteed timelines. We communicate risks carefully, including what is uncertain and what requires professional evaluation. We do not use fear or pressure to influence decisions.

12

Inclusion and non-discrimination

We treat clients and participants with respect regardless of marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity, nationality, ethnic origin, religion, or disability, within the legal limits of the applicable jurisdiction and provider policies.

13

Responsibility Centered on the Future Baby

We plan with the future baby’s well-being in mind. We coordinate in a way that supports safe care pathways, responsible documentation, and careful administration after birth.

14

Responsibility and Escalation

We maintain a structured path to escalate concerns related to safety, consent, privacy, financial integrity, or professional boundaries. We document situations, escalate cases when appropriate, and pause coordination when necessary to protect the people involved and the process.

HOW IT IS APPLIED

How the Family Code is Applied in Practice

  • We confirm your family goals so the program reflects your values, privacy needs, and governance preferences.
  • We document roles so each party understands what each person does and who is responsible for each decision.
  • We use milestone-based planning and structured verification for budgeting, documentation, and coordination steps
  • We insist on clarity regarding payments.
  • We coordinate independent legal counsel and keep legal steps separate from clinical steps.
  • We maintain secure document management and share information only with permission.

Claridad financiera

Transparencia financiera en cada camino

When escrow is selected, fund releases are tied to documented milestones.

When Direct Pay is selected, clients pay clinics and providers directly, while Elara Global Fertility charges only a coordination fee.

Elara Global Fertility does not retain medical funds or third-party funds outside of an independent escrow agreement.

PROFESSIONAL LIMITS

What we will not do

These limits protect clients, participants, providers, and the integrity of the process.

  • We do not provide medical advice or replace clinical judgment.
  • We do not provide legal advice or legally represent clients.
  • We do not hold or release medical funds outside an independent escrow agreement.
  • We do not participate in coercion, gray-area practices, or hidden financial agreements.
